A Face-off: Jupiter Square the Nodes
May 18
Eclipses happen at the nodes. They're points on the moon. RN, we have the South Node in Virgo. Loss. Personally, maybe a loss of perfection. Societally, a loss of systems, data, details, and facts. To the North, Pisces. The hunger for fantasy, spirituality, and mysticism is ceaseless. To that point, we stay cautious for signs of fanaticism, escapism, and delusion.
That's where Jupiter, the planet of expansion, is making its mark Sunday. It’s the third of three squares this week. Squares = tension, friction, and conflict. And why, yes—that is on top of a DEEP full moon Scorpio opposing LOUD Uranus in Taurus, plus a revolutionary Uranus conjunct the sun (a cazimi). This week might feel like a series of eclipses.
Monday: Full moon in Scorpio opposing Uranus. The Universe added a Pluto in Aquarius square Mercury in Taurus at the same time. Mercury talks about whatever it's relating to--and reveals it. Pluto is the planet of death, rebirth, power, and transformation. Scorpio signals what’s happening in the shadows. Mercury put a megaphone to that. Tension, friction, intensity, emotions, transformation, processing. Being, reflecting. Not doing.
Saturday: Uranus-Sun conjunction. ⚡A cazimi is a moment of clarity, but Uranus is loud, rebellious, revolutionary. Add a Mercury square Mars, and it's thunderous. The subterranean theme continues. It’s a disruptive cazimi. Mercury now amplifies Mars and its aggression. And Mars is Scorpio's traditional ruler, while Pluto is the modern ruler. So Mercury is talking all about it. In fact, it's yelling because we have the trickster (Mercury) and the instigator (Mars) in a face-off.
Sunday: Keeps things turned up with Jupiter squaring the nodes. All this letting go we've done all week, makes space for new—which we really want for June. Release and then bring it. Reinvention. No new beginnings without acknowledging what is no longer serving us.
Let's call it excellent conditions for personal growth. Energy for an upgrade. On the other side of friction and rebirth, is transformation and renewal. It’s all connected. Whatever we released during the full moon made space for cazimi insights. Now the planet of expansion is squaring the nodes. Cue the Deus ex Machina.
In regards to Jupiter 🟥the South Node, your mantra is "accept." Your move=let go. If you don't shed what needs to go, you prevent how Jupiter is nudging you to grow. Re: the North Node. Note: Jupiter expands. The North Node is hungry. What happens when your eyes are bigger than your stomach? Too much of a good thing—it exists.
Jupiter is ending its Gemini cycle. In its detriment, we struggle with growth, hope, faith, ultimate wisdom, collective morality. This square amplifies everything Jupiter in Gemini has been about.
The energy is INTENSE. Keep resting. Keep hydrating. Keep journaling✍🏽.
Reflect. Ground. Process.
Allow. Accept and observe.
We're eliminating a lot of outdated patterns and behaviors. We had the release of the full moon, followed by the transformation of the cazimi, featuring iconoclasm, revolution and breakthroughs. We could be on the other side of renewal by Monday, which is great timing for what’s to come.
This is the energy of rebirth, revolution, and revitalization. Jupiter is on its way to Cancer (having charted a path in Gemini for Uranus, who is beginning a new cycle and coming along behind it.) Venus is moving into Taurus and the Solstice is following. Let's trailblaze a path to abundance.
