A Cosmic New Year: The Vernal Equinox
THIS energy—it’s a lot right now. The planets are not playing, even though it may feel like they are. But today is The Awakening. It's the first day of spring, the first day of Aries season, and the Cosmic New Year. Rejoice! A transformation in the form of rebirth. The shift is all-encompassing.
There are only two days featuring equal parts darkness and light; this is one of them. Related to the pagan celebration Ostara, the Equinox is one of the most sacred of the four changes in season. We honor that change. Seek balance as the season turns.
The past few days have offered us a hazy view from which to observe the end of the year. Sol was conjunct the North Node in Pisces (where eclipses happen) on Monday, and then on Wednesday was the Neptune-Sun cazimi—in the last degrees of Pisces. Talk about a final goodbye. Buh-bye! We are transitioning from one portal to another. The solar eclipse occurs on the New Moon this month.
If you hunkered down during the Winter Solstice and cocooned, it's time to wake up-- sorry sleepy head. On second thought, if you're able to get a few more winks in before the end of Eclipse season and Neptune's grand entry into Aries, do it!
Aries is loud and spring is bursting (with promise) onto the scene. The dream season of Pisces is over, and Aries is here to make sure we are ON IT! It’s time to move. Grab your pioneer spirit and hold onto your protest signs! The time for manifesting is NOW. Get your main character on.
Leaving Pisces, we’re letting go. Remember that full moon eclipse in Virgo? That was a release. You've been re-framing and reviewing, now it's time to renew. What deserves a fresh start? What would you like to bring into being? Reset and revamp. Touch grass.
Even though this is a new initiation, beware the upcoming plot twists which continue through the end of eclipse season. Accept what is beyond your control. Be flexible, open to changing your mind. Have an exit strategy or two, if you will.
