Lessons from the Slow Lane: Saturn Rx In Pisces & Aries

July 12 to November 27, 2025

Saturn School. That's where we are. There's only one retrograde that's more retrograde than Saturn: That's Mars, and thank goodness that's over.  While Mars brings the heat, Saturn brings the growth. Let's pause for one little caveat here: Mars rules Aries, and that's where 🪐 is.

For the past seven weeks Saturn has given us a taste of the Greater Malefic consumed by fiyah 🔥. What thinketh we of Saturn's Warrior Style⚔️? Does he wear it well?

If there's any planet to pay attention to, it's Saturn. Saturn shapes our dreams, builds the structure for our plans, provides the container for our visions.

We have the next seven weeks to reflect on that intro before the gas giant rolls back into Pisces. There it will help you conclude that story of the past two to three years, before settling back into Aries, the sign of its detriment for the next couple.

So now that you've had a taste of Saturn in Aries, inundated by Neptune, no less, what are you being asked to review?

How are you being challenged in the part of the chart that contains Aries?

Saturn's here to slap down a reality check because they play the long game real good. A lesson in self-discipline, that's Saturn. Those boundaries tightening around your neck? That's Saturn. Karma coming to bite you in the ass real quick? Saturn. The ringed planet traffics in the currency of commitment, responsibility, accountability, and consequences.

Conjunct Neptune (dreams, escapism, erosion) and in a stubborn square with Jupiter, Saturn is forcing you to make choices. (SIR! I know you feel called out, but please watch your language.)

We cannot have it all and that's what Saturn's here to show us. So what now?

With the ruler of structure reflecting the manifestation of the long game, we're about to make our non-negotiables a reality. Saturn gives us what we need, whether we like it or not. And he keeps offering us lessons until we're ready to receive them. Over and over and over and over…

Saturn retrogrades provide us the ability to implement its lessons while it's in the slow lane. Don't let this pass you by—or you'll see this lesson again, and again, and again, and… get the drift?

This retrograde offers us the opportunity to reflect on Saturn’s cycle through Aries and what's to come once it settles in for a few years. When it rolls back into Pisces, Saturn brings us a little token—particularly for those of you who just experienced your Saturn return—a chance to wrap up loose ends in Pisces. We have the opportunity to integrate those too. Worth noting: Pisces is the end of the zodiac, associated with old age and death (it’s the OG 12th House). Aries is the 1st House, often referred to as the baby or the infant. Also (that’s where Neptune has been all year, and where Venus had her retrograde cycle.)

Imagine the schoolmarm in the sign of the toddler. That's where we are.

If you have Saturn in Aries in your natal chart, then this is your Saturn Return. Take notes, study, and implement. Metaphors be with you (and whatever other literary elements might help 😜.)
