Mars in Leo opposition Pluto in Aquarius

Are you feeling the Mars? Tension. Friction. Mars, the planet of drive, courage, and assertiveness, is in self-expressive Leo; deep, transformative Pluto is in Aquarius, sign of the collective and society. Perhaps there is a push-pull between your individual will (Mars) and collective evolution (Pluto) during this opposition. Perhaps we call in our courage and rally for change.
The week began with Sun😎in Taurus 🟥Mars in Leo🦁. Taurus is a sign of pleasure, comfort, security, and earthiness. However, squares are challenging. Edgy and aggravating are the vibe. Add in the stubbornness…did I mention tension?
Then today, (Wednesday, April 23rd) Sol squares Pluto, the planet of☠️death, rebirth and transformation. Stability and security, or personal evolution? Are you resisting change? Check in. Can you have both?
Saturday’s is the third in a series of oppositions b/n Pluto & Mars. The first was November 3rd, (Mars in Cancer, Pluto in Capricorn); the second was January 2 (Mars Rx in Leo, Pluto in Aquarius.) Since Mars is direct in Leo and Pluto is in Aquarius (about to station retrograde) this may manifest differently for your personal life than the other two transits. Side note: Mars stationed retrograde in Leo on December 6, so that was another hot spot in this story. All three of those dates included violence👺and/or power struggles 👿on the world stage. Expect a possible power play connected to the other parts of the story. Saturday’s confrontation between the two ties up this chapter —though it may not fully play out until the full moon🌝 in Scorpio on May 12.
Globally, think: hidden power dynamic. Deep, dark and funky. Mars = action and battle and aggression. Mars just had a trine with Neptune, the planet of our ideals and dreams. Might we be moved to action for our dreams? There’s the potential of unearthing something that’s difficult to deal with. Consider how your energy might get stolen, and lean into your agency. (Mars in Leo = leadership). Redirect, refocus, and remember the strength💪🏽of connectivity and relationship coming through Venus in Pisces. Think Taurus values—security, self-worth, comfort, joy, pleasure. But, this New Moon is also square Mars and Pluto: the Mars-Pluto opposition and squares to the sun from earlier this week are baked into the new moon.
