Here for the Win: Mars in Virgo

June 17- August 6

The energy in the Universe is POTENT. To add to the start of Jupiter's lovely transit in Cancer, and Venus in her home sign of Taurus, Mars just moved into Virgo.

Lay your eyes on a project and commit. Mars is here to get 'er done.

Let’s start with a win: Mars is finally out of its retrograde cycle!!! It spent the last 9 months—y’all—do you know what we can do in 9 months?!?—rotating between Leo and Cancer. And it was painful! You feel seen, don’t you? Those two signs were drawing so much energy, and it was draining (winces at the flashbacks). Not only that, but it was in its detriment for all the months it was in Cancer. Let's hope you were able to move some energy out in a way that makes space for what's coming in.

This is the 1st infusion of energy in Virgo in sooooo long (we’re not counting the nodes, that’s a whole other thing).

Mars is our planet of drive, courage, bravery, assertiveness, aggression, and action. Virgo's style is detail-oriented. Think: the relentless pursuit of perfection. It's about the nuts and bolts, and doing things correctly. Go for the gold. Hard work and kitchen witch energy—fire and earth. If you have a vision you're ready to execute on, this is the time.

Be thoughtful🤔: How do you want to use this energy? Where can you direct your passion and your desire for competition?

One way to use this energy is to set a Mars in Virgo intention on its own. Meaning, its focus is on where Mars is bringing the energy ⚡. Virgo's natural house in the zodiac (not your personal chart) is the 6th-—duty, health, service, labor, and day-to-day routines. If this is the way you choose to work with the energy, where can you add zest to your daily rituals? 📆 Are there patterns and habits that need to be reviewed and renewed? Time to revise (but magically) 🪄.

A strictly Mars-in-Virgo intention will be goal-oriented 🥅, something you want to accomplish while Mars is slinging energy that way. If you know the house where Mars lives in your personal chart, you can set an intention that aligns based on those aspects.

The 2nd option is to use this energy to get clarity on a different intention. That means looking at your Jupiter in Cancer intentions (or Venus-centered intentions) and flushing out the details that will support that intention. (See the Jupiter in Cancer scroll). You'll still stay focused on that highly honed intention, but drafting out details in a Mars-in-Virgo fashion can highlight what that might look like in your day-to-day life. How might it support your vision for how you want to BE and the abundance you want to manifest with Jupiter in Cancer? Or the transformation you're hoping to embody with Pluto in Aquarius?

FYI: Virgo is Mercurial--Mercury is its ruling planet. Mars in a Mercurial sign is not only trickster energy, it's also inner-critic energy. Keep an eye out for perfectionism. Beware, too, of burnout and overwork. Digging into the nitty gritty is good, but not to the extent you're digging your own bottomless pit. 😅

May the force be with you.
