Last Call: Saturn Retrograde in Pisces
September 1 - November 27, 2025
Saturn is back in Pisces! Heeeyyyyy! For some of us this cause celebre, for others it may be the harbinger of another challenging five to six months (lookin’ at you Saturn-in-Pisces-return folks). BUT—it doesn't have to be. Saturn was in Pisces for a little more than two years (beginning in 2023 through May 2025), and during that time, we would have been shaped by its lessons; it is after all, the planet of reality checks, karma, boundaries, discipline, and responsibility.
Depending what house Pisces is for you, this is either welcome or cringe.
Turning back 'round to that ‘but’, the gift that an outer planet going retrograde gives us after it enters a new sign for the first time is that we get to take our reflections and reviews into account and see how we can best make the most of the final wrap-up in the previous sign.
In Pisces, Saturn brings us structure. It creates the container for our ideals and dreams. Here until February 13, 2026, the softer side of Saturn is your co-creator as you complete any projects, plans, or manifestations you've had in the works since March of 2023.
If things have felt a little more like a whirlwind or rocky road since May 2025, this is likely a big relief. If things have felt better, then you may not be jumping joy.
Saturn will be here in retrograde from September 1 through November 27—think of it as Saturn slowing down to allow you the time to catch up with the lessons it bestowed on you while it was in Pisces the first time. Then once November 28 comes, it's full steam ahead to implement those lessons and/or grow from them until February 13. Then the boundary planet rolls on back into Aries and settles down there until April 2028.
In general, now's the time to reflect on how you are maintaining boundaries, how your self-discipline is working out for you, what challenges keep returning to you that might be highlighting patterns or habits that are disrupting or sabotaging your life. This is Saturn’s work.
Our inability to sit with the mess is what paves the way to spiritual bypass. This eclipse happening at the North Node in Pisces is one of increase--our desire for mysticism, spirituality, and magic, and perhaps even escape is heightened. But Saturn's watching over.
Saturn entered Pisces on the same day as the moon was in Capricorn. Saturn demands structure, as is Capricorn's style since Saturn is its ruling planet. With Pisces in the picture, how do we reconcile structure and flow?
