Messy Times: Mercury in Sagittarius

Last month in Scorpio, Mercury went deep. Our intellectual processes, communication, and the flow of information were obsessed with excavation 🪱. Emotions. Psychology. Investigation. Analysis🔬. Now the messenger planet floats freely in the sign of the centaur. On one hand, this energy is expansive. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, so the vibe is generous and upbeat (minus that little retrograde period this month.) Seekers, this is your season.

THE BEAUTY OF MERCURY IN SAGITTARIUS = mind-expanding energy. Whereas Mercury in Scorpio went deep and dark, Mercury in Sagittarius goes wide and bright🔆: A period of possibility. Consider that the planet excavates in Scorpio and through that excavation, it unearths that which we want to bring up and share. Now’s the time for light. Philosophy and curiosity are the themes of the day. Positivity, teaching, and wisdom rule. Another plus of Mercury in Sag: a sense of humor. Witty times, my friends, witty times 🤡.

Dates to remember: 

November 12: Mercury Rx conjoins Mars. 🥵Think before you speak. Save in drafts. Do nothing rash. Mars is heat, aggression, and action. Take it easy. 

The same goes for November 19th: Mercury Rx opposes Uranus in Gemini, the planet of sudden breakthroughs ⚡. (Oppositions feature tension and conflict) Tho minus the heat of Mars, it's still a “make-a-mental-note/don't-hit-send” kind of day. Journal your "brilliant" insights and check ‘em out when the fog clears. This is the second of three oppositions between Mercury and Uranus (October 30 and December 10 are the other dates). Uranus is like a big sibling to Mercury. Featuring magnetic, discontinuous energy, Uranus is associated with huge leaps in technology—it's the planet of breakthroughs, awakenings, and doing things differently in the service of liberation. What systems is this combination asking us to upgrade?

And finally, Mercury makes three sextiles to Pluto in Aquarius during this transit (sextiles are harmonious angles). October 30, November 17, and December 16. Aquarius is similar to Uranus, so the themes tilt towards The Collective, but like Scorpio (think: same family as Pluto) deep thoughts and exploratory conversations prevail.
